#UPGRADE FROM 10.6.8 TO 10.7 UPGRADE#
I have an older iBook G3 running 10.4.11 and I would like to know if I can upgrade to 10.4.8, and if so. Or if anyone has any tips I’d appreciate that. Ive been trying to upgrade from 10.6.7 for. I have tried finding 10.7, but the only place I can find is to buy from Apple for £20.ĭoes anyone know how I can get 10.7 any other way? I don’t understand how Sierra can be free but they charge £20 for an older version.

The guy formatted it before the sale, and I went to install the latest software I could (10.12.4 I believe?) but the installation wizard kept freezing, so I went to erase the hard drive in the disk utility, but it would let me because it kept saying “can’t unmount disk”. The 10.7 install does consist of two parts, but if you are running 10.6 Server the base 10.7 install will refuse to continue until the Server installer is available as well.
